New Students
Dear Students, Congratulations on being admitted to the University of South Florida, Tampa. While we look forward to seeing you here, we do request that you take a little time to read this letter carefully and understand the things you will need to make your life in the United States a comfortable one. You should have received your official acceptance letter along with your I-20 form in the package that is sent out by the International Office. Do ensure that you have all the necessary documents with you before you board the flight to the U.S. If you need to be picked up from the airport upon arrival or if you need accommodation to be arranged for you, you may request so by filling out the Airport Pickup Form. It is advisable to carry your passport with a valid visa, your I-20 (bring both copies) and your official acceptance letter in your hand luggage. Do carry your bank drafts, travelers checks and a little cash (between $50 and $100) on hand, as you might need them at the airport. Carry these with you at all times. These documents are very important, hence ensure that you have photocopies of them in your luggage. Have a great flight and remember to check out the important links below so that you do not miss anything. but you can always email one of us to recheck anything. Yours Sincerely, SIA
NOTE:Mrs. Taylor is the director of International Student and Scholar Services. Feel free to contact her if you need information on your non-immigration status with INS or your visa.Marcia Taylor |
